Project Overview

ReserveRoomz is a modern online travel and hotel booking platform designed to help travellers find and reserve accommodation across the United States. Customers can search by city, property name, or location, select their travel dates, configure rooms and guests, compare available properties, review room options, and complete their reservation through a secure checkout experience. The platform also promotes trending destinations, seasonal travel ideas, member offers, weekend specials, early-booking savings, and flexible cancellation options.

The Challenge

The project required an OTA-style booking experience capable of managing complex and interconnected data, including destinations, check-in and check-out dates, rooms, adults, children and child ages, hotel availability, room rate plans, pricing, cancellation policies, authentication, guest information, and payment state. The application also needed to remain fast and responsive while retrieving dynamic hotel inventory from external APIs and supporting users across desktop and mobile devices.

Our Solution

We developed a scalable Next.js application using the App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and reusable shadcn/ui components. Hotel inventory, availability, pricing, room details, and booking operations are handled through REST API integrations. TanStack Query manages server data, caching, mutations, pagination, and loading states, while Zustand maintains search and booking information across the customer journey. Stripe Elements provides secure payment collection, and the application follows a layered architecture that separates UI components, custom hooks, service functions, state stores, and API communication.
